If your host doesn’t have a one-click installer (which is rare), here’s how to install WordPress manually:
- Download WordPress from WordPress.org — it’s a .zip file.
- Create a database in your hosting control panel (phpMyAdmin or MySQL).
- Upload WordPress files to your server via FTP (FileZilla is free).
- Run the installation wizard by visiting your domain — it walks you through the final steps.
- Enter your database details and set your admin credentials.

What to Do After Installing WordPress
Once WordPress is installed, here are the first 5 things to do:

Common WordPress Installation Problems (and Fixes)
Error: Can’t connect to database
